1. Kick-off meeting in Sokolnice

Sokolnice | September 2016

The project was kicked off and tasks distributed

The three-year project was solemnly initiated with all partners present. The opening kick-off - hosted by the coordinating secondary school of electrical and power engineering - took place the last week of September in Sokolnice, South Moravia (Czech Republic). Besides introduction of all partners and distribution of tasks there were expert visits as well as cultural and sight-seeing activities scheduled.

The initial kick-off meeting of a new Erasmus+ project was held in South-Moravian Sokolnice. Representatives of all 8 partners gathered at the meeting. For some of them it was the first time in the Czech Republic and first personal meeting with partners, while others had known each other very well from previous projects, electrical-engineering competitions and other activities of secondary schools.

In friendly atmosphere partners defined the terms of project collaboration and the lines of work for project activities. The hosts showed participants around the modernly equipped workrooms especially pointing out the excellent technological pearl of the school – the Energy Center, the training center for renewable energy sources.

To draw inspiration and passion for new technologies visitors were brought to the LIKO-S Company, an innovative company located in Slavkov u Brna. On the way back to school participants stopped at the Cairn of Peace, a memorial of the Battle of Three Emperors. Being in South Moravia they could not miss out on regional folklore. The three-day meeting was crowned by sight-seeing tour of the close metropolis of Brno with its historical monuments and pieces of modern art.
